As an artist, I am constantly searching for inspiration and there have definitely been times when I have developed a case of 'artist block' and couldn't think of a single thing that interested or inspired me. This year I decided to give myself a project to do. I call it my 'Sketch-a-Day' series and the basic idea is that every day I am required to do one sketch. It doesn't have to be of any particular subject. It can be something from my imagination or something that is inspired by my life. It can be in any medium and as loose or detailed as I would like. The only requirement is that I create SOMETHING once a day.

A Fairy Queen for the Ren Fest!

Every year I try to go to the Renaissance Festival and have something go wrong. This year is unfortunately no exception. I finished up my costume and headpiece only to get rained out. Sigh... So that all of my hard work wouldn't be wasted I took some photos of the finished product. I also have a video showing how you can create a headpiece like mine.
